What is Buzzy Work?

The Problem:
When a founder starts a business, they must do a billion things. Write a business plan, set up a CRM, get customers, design a website, and so much more. The list is endless, but at the beginning with little capital and revenue, they cannot afford to hire someone right off the bat. Adding a full-time admin at the onset of one's business adds immediate overhead, and there is often not enough work for the employee at all times. Startups don't work by having a constant workflow, they go in spurts, one day there are a billion things to do, and the next day it is completely manageable, so they don't need someone sitting in the office all day long, they need someone to be there on a random day when they have too much to do.

The Process:
Buzzy Work is Virtual assistant combined with a fractional COO. You pay a monthly fee to go in and submit tasks and one of our "Buzzy Workers" will accomplish this task just like an admin would. No Payroll. No limit to what task. No training, hiring, or employee problems. Just task set and done by a trustworthy employee who has already been trained.

What we are NOT:
This is not a Virtual assistant agency, we do not take customer service calls and do little one of scheduling tasks, while we are happy to do so, this would not be a cost effective use of our process.

What we ARE:
We are Task oriented COO's, properly vetted and experienced small business COO's or Ops Managers that will sit in and help with budget or goal meetings, check through bookkeeping to ensure accuracy, create any kind of spreadsheet, job costing, set up CRMs or automations, train employees on your software's, form Marketing plans, develop KPIs, write job descriptions, form training guides, market research, and so on! We are more then happy to do almost any business task that you submit, but we are here to do the advanced and complicated tasks you do not know how or do not have the time to complete.

Types of tasks

Buzzy Work has a wide range of tasks one can do. If we can't do, you don't pay! This list is in no way exhaustive but there are also limitations to what can be done as well. Very big projects might be beyond the scope and individually priced, while items such as legal, Accounting, some technical, and other items, could be labeled as unable to be done. Any task that you would have an COO or Ops Manager do are the types covered by Buzzy Work, such as:

  • General Admin: Developing Marketing plans, attending manager meetings, designing custom spreadsheets, implementing and designing trainings, setting up new software's or automations, travel arrangements, expense tracking analysis, market research, travel and event planning, and more!

  • Project support: Task tracking, meeting design, power point presentations, job posting, application screening, onboarding, training design, accounts payable and receivable, record keeping, invoicing, and more!

  • Content and marketing: Social media management, content writing/design, newsletters, basic graphic design, Lead generation, web design, paid advertisement and more!

What is considered a Task?

1 task has no real time on it, it could be something that takes 30 mins or something that takes a couple of hours. However, a project can be considered multiple tasks.
Example 1:
"Make me a website" would be a project, not a task. If the website is a simple one page website then that would be one task, however, as you add features and pages it would be more tasks. "Design me a 5 page website with a carousal, a custom logo, and add my 3 products." This would require more details but most likely you are looking at 5 tasks for pages, possibly 1 for a carousal (depending), 1 for a new logo, 3 for new products, and most likely another 1 for meetings around it." So this website would be roughly 11 tasks.

Example 2:
"Find me a new CRM" could be a project or a task, again this would need more detail. If it is simply finding a CRM, we would have you simply tell us your requirements, your budget, etc. and we would locate and find one, easy 1 task. This can get a little more in depth though such as taking promo meetings, setting up CRM, inputting data, setting up automations and integrations. While the former may be one task, the latter might meet your task max for the month depending on your needs.

Example 3:
"Design a employee days off spreadsheet that will let me know how many days they have left throughout the year" this pretty simple 1 sheet spreadsheet will most likely be 1 task.

Example 4:
"Set up accountability KPIs for our Managing team" this again might be a task or a project depending on whether there are meetings surrounding this, how many managers, how many KPIs each, and are they being listed or taught to the managing team.

These examples are mostly to say that a task is set up to be a one off job, whether that is forming an equation on excel to brainstorming churn rate for subscription based products. Still not getting it? Message us today or try one month no commitment today!
